i zoned out
and kind of forgot where i was

til evolution catches up to me

every summer i forget that snow exists
when i see it for the first time i miss spring and summer bliss
but i know i'm a cold weather person underneath it all
when we go to sleep we use moss as pillows
our skin is in the dirt now with the cedars and the willows
and we lie here with our stomachs full of beer and ramen
